The Vision
Description goeIn the spring of 2023, a new vision began to take shape—one that set out to reimagine the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism through the lens of contemporary art, advanced technology, and intricate craftsmanship. The original idea was to create eight large-scale artworks, each acting as a portal between the tangible and the spiritual, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect. But then, something unexpected happened.
That summer, a dream arrived, and it revealed a vivid vision of a massive project consists of way more than eight works. The symbols weren’t meant to be simply represented—they were starting points for a much bigger transformation.
By fall, the vision had evolved into a fully realized concept: a long-term artistic journey that would unfold across years and borders. It would grow into Auspicious 88—an ambitious series that combines mixed-media visual art with performance, immersive installations, and spiritual experiences. A project where each piece is both a standalone creation and part of a greater collection.
In 2024, the first eleven works were unveiled in two places that reflect the artist’s dual cultural roots: at VOICES Art Fair in Taipei and at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. These early chapters signaled the beginning of something larger than any single exhibition—a living project that continues to grow, surprise, and open new doors.
Auspicious 88 isn’t just an art series. It’s an unfolding experience—one that invites audiences into a space of hope, transformation, and shared wonder.s here
